I could not have said it better myself. When it comes to Hd movies, by nov. 17, Sony will have no competion and by next summer, everyone will have a ps3 and a blu-ray player. Ps3 and Sony make a great team.
The ps3 has a Detachable 2.5" HDD slot x 1 and is fully upgradeable to any size you want while right now xbox360 is restricted only to the 20gb microsoft offers. So until Microsoft makes them bigger, Ps's upgrade ability is better.
He does have a point. But the question i have is how long will they stay free. The wii online browser is only free until spring 2007. Now how long will the sony network be free until they start charging their customers?
You say Xbox Live is going to win because "XBL has a larger userbase and public awareness." yet if someone was to say that PS3 was going to win this nextgen battle because of sony's fanbase and public awareness you would bring up hell to say how userbase does not matter. The fact is, you cannot declare the success or failure of a something thats not out yet. After the release of the consoles, give both ps3 and wii a year, and after that, we will see how close the network race is.
Does it make sense for you to give more praise to a mic in a wii controller over the blu-ray in the ps3? If the 360 is built "upgradeable" because of the usb ports which allow for add-ons, then wouldn't the ps3 be upgradeable too because of its 6 usb ports? Therefore, the ps3 is still better because its upgradeable and does not need as many attachments as the 360 in order to be next-gen. Can't wait for gears of war though, It looks very promising.
i have a 360 and feel its a great system, but i do wonder with all the extra i have to pay to achieve next-gen capabilities in the form of add-ons, was the 500 worth it? You notice how you said that the game is still growing and is added to the HDD. Is that really necessary when you could put it all on the same disc. That was a truly amazing trailer of the Ferrari in action in the GT HD game. It was so realistic that i forgot i was watching a game and not a real live car show. When that comes out, i'm definitely picking it up.
